The group of volunteers came from all around the US and Canada and, though they had never met before, quickly bonded during the week long volunteer project which included re-furbishing school classrooms, building desks, installing a water filtration system and clean burning stoves.

The documentary from the trip, Journeys for Good: Tanzania, captures the volunteer experience with an insider’s perspective as the production team works alongside the volunteers and local people. Heartfelt interviews with the participants reveals the trans-formative nature of the trip, forming the narrative spine for the inspiring videos.

Journeys for Good: Tanzania aired nationally on public television, receiving multiple Emmy award nominations for editing, writing and overall cultural program.  The original web series received multiple Telly Award, including the “People’s Choice”, voted on by the internet community.
